A definite naval theme for the first procession of "Carnaval" week, that of the infants, teachers and parents from the El Olivo school on Julián Besteiro.
Taking the salute before the start on a chilly 8°C afternoon, feeling much colder in the breeze.

Just imagine whistles blowing, drums beating, excited children singing and dancing and it may give you a feel of the fun atmosphere of the parade.
Leaving the parade at the Health Centre as it headed to a party at the Indoor Sports Centre, I headed home for a warming coffee.
