I'd wondered while walking past the new play and park area on Vereda Ancha just what these two rectangular areas were for. And now I know.
They're for the game of "Petanca", similar to the game of boules in France and very popular here in Spain.
So we stood and watched for a while on a pleasant, warmish morning though as I write this dark clouds are gathering and it looks like some rain is on the way.
