Readers may recall a previous post where we told of the incredible undertaking of our friend Bob Carr in walking from the North to the South of Spain. His walk of 1300kms(800 miles) raising money for Cancer Research organisations, both in the UK and Spain, starts in Santander this Saturday 7th May.
Despite earlier concerns about accommodation arrangements in a previous post (since removed), overnight stays have now been arranged in all but the following locations.

So if by any chance anyone looking in can assist this very worthy cause in providing a rest place overnight or know of anyone in or near to the places mentioned, it would be very much appreciated.
Sunday 22nd May - Torresandino (south of Burgos)
Monday 30th May - Cabanas de Polendos (near Segovia)
Tuesday 14th June - Aliseda de Tormes ( near Plasencia)

If you can assist in any way, Bob can be contacted (preferably by text message (sms) to keep costs down) on either his UK mobile (0044) 7748 167061 or Spanish mobile (0034) 600 822 802 or of course via his website here by clicking on the "Walk with me" option, although access to the internet may be limited during the walk.
He is very much looking forward to the tremendous challenge ahead and determined to complete the walk and would still very much welcome the company of anyone who would like to join him on any of the stages.
Many thanks in anticipation of any assistance that may be forthcoming. Good luck Bob.
