After visiting the market this morning, we headed up to Calle Torre del Pan in the Barrio de la Villa (the historic old part of town near to the Iglesia Parroquial) to see how Marleen and Kris were doing in their new venture as owners of "El Tapir Despistado" (The Confused or Bewildered Tapir).
We were warmly welcomed by them both and clearly there's been a lot of hard work going on in transforming the bar.
"El Tapir", keeping a watchful eye on the bar.
The bar has been tastefully re-decorated with new furniture throughout and a very comfortable outside patio area. Soft music also adds to creating a very pleasant ambience.
The one thing that could never be improved upon however is the spectacular view from the outside patio area. The bar is open from Thursday until Sunday, 11.00hrs until 23.00hrs, so why not pop in and say hello.You'll be assured of a very warm welcome.

Pequeño restaurante regentado por una pareja de belgas encantadores que ofrecen una pequeña carta original y cuidada. Para tapear de otra manera, buena relación calidad precio y unos postres exquisitos de los que te facilitan hasta la receta. La decoración sencilla y acogedora y las vistas maravillosas. Merece la pena desviarse a Olvera para conocerlos y disfrutar de su cocina y su compañia.

Realmente muy coqueto. Pequeño pero acogedor. Algo diferente y decorado con un gusto exquisito. Muy buenos precios, y todo en un marco incomparable. Muy cerca de la Iglesia Mayor y del Castillo árabe. Áltamente recomendable.
