Lunes de Quasimodo

The highlight of the Romería, "Lunes de Quasimodo", has arrived under beautiful, cloudless skies and a temperature of about 20°C.
We met up with the traditional parade outside the Health Centre on Avenida Julian Besteiro as it proceeded to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios about two kilometres outside of Olvera.

Our lovely young friend Laura, always with a smile on her face.

Following the horses were the "Carrozas", decorated floats.

Chari, our friend and Anne's hairdresser in party mood.

The view to the "campo" where families and friends, visitors and everyone who can goes to enjoy the atmosphere of music, dancing, drinking and partying that goes on all day and long into the night.

 The view back to Olvera.
A traditional display of skill in pouring Manzanilla, a type of dry sherry given out free to all.
Bread, traditional meats and cake were also on offer.

 Laura again, still smiling.
Just a few pictures of groups of families and friends who gather among the olive trees to have a good time together.
