A perfect day to be invited to spend the afternoon at the pool of our good friends, sitting and chatting under the shade of the olive trees as temperatures rose to about 33°C.
Chilly at first but once immersed it was absolutely fantastic. We are truly lucky to have such lovely friends.
I always like to take a wander in the hope of catching a picture of a snake, lizard or some other exotic creature but alas today it was obviously cooler for them to stay hidden.
A not untypical rural scene is a shepherd with his goats that we encountered on the way home after a brilliant afternoon.
