In search of poppies......

......and other wild flowers. At this time of year the Andalucian countryside has a stunning display of flora so I set out this morning on a drive through Alcalá de Valle, Setenil and Torre Alháquime just taking pictures of the beautiful displays.

The weather is still not consistently warm and the slight breeze made it feel a little chilly with temperatures at about 14°C.

One of the spectacular views on the Setenil-Olvera road.

The view of the pueblo of Torre Alháquime with Olvera on the hill in the background.

Majestic Olvera.

No doubt on our travels in the coming few weeks we'll come across more fields of poppies, my favourite flower, so a few more pics will be inevitable I'm afraid.
