Today, I wandered down to the Plaza de la Concordia to watch the return of the hundreds of cyclists who had departed Olvera at 7.30 this morning on a competitive 62 km (38.5 mile) cycle ride out into the campo, returning via the Via Verde to finish at the fairground in Olvera.
The event was organised by the local cycling club "Club Cyclista Navalagrulla" and it was only right that the first cyclist home, pictured right, was wearing the colours of Olvera.
It was clear from the variety of club colours on show that this was a well supported event with riders from clubs all over Cadiz.
This event was one of two organised by the club. The other was an 84 km (52 mile) marathon that started from Olvera at 9am this morning.
Still smiling through the pain.
