We were really pleased to be amongst friends invited to be at Mel's leaving "do", held at the Bar El Rincon.
Mel is shortly returning to the UK after spending the last twenty two months here in Olvera and we'll all miss his humour and personality......not to mention his recollections of an abortive trip to a Chinese restaurant that I'll never be allowed to live down (another story).
It's a testament to Mel's popularity that there were eighteen of us around the table to hopefully give him a good send off to his new life with his partner Anne, though hopefully we'll see them both back sometime later in the year.

A lovely guy and we'll all miss his presence here but wish him all the best in the future. Next time you're in a Chinese Mel, if it's open, I'll have (or would've had)won ton soup followed by.......!!.
