Plaza de Andalucia

After a windy and very blustery night, it was lovely to emerge to yet another warm morning. So just a few pictures taken today in and around the Plaza de Andalucia, a pleasant square off Calle Victoria as you walk upwards through town towards the church and castle.

The waterfall feature in the plaza.

Looking down on the plaza and the popular Bar Mi Pueblo from the park area above.

The park is situated on a rocky outcrop that dominates the plaza and is well stocked with flowers, shrubs, cacti and a variety of trees, in addition to the aviary and fish ponds.

The view over the south side of Olvera from the top of the park.

Views of the castle and church from various vantage points within the park, taken whilst walking to the top.

The "Monumento al Sagrado Corazón" (Monument of the Sacred Heart) stands at the top of the park.

Again, looking down over the plaza and the north side of Olvera from the highest point of the park.

Hi Alan & Anne, just wanted to say that your photo's are getting pretty arty of late, especially the last group, love the 'through the trees' shots of the town, and the last few of the lakes pics!
good to see you enjoying those lovely places! Celia
