We are looking forward with anticipation to the start of the annual Carnival here in Olvera, which commences on the 21st February with the selection of the Carnival queen and then continues with a series of events and concerts until the 1st of March.
The official poster, pictured right, was designed by Juan Miguel Álvarez Páez, and was the winning poster from 17 entries in a competition organised by the Ayuntamiento. The poster shows a classic harlequin, with images of the castle, church and a group of houses in the background.
