After the rain of last night, we thought a walk along the Via Verde near to Olvera would be a pleasant stroll out this morning.
We parked the car at the Estación de Olvera and set off along the route of the "Green Way", a popular walking and cycle route of 36 kms linking Olvera in the east with Puerto Serrano in the west.

Very noticeable was the damage caused by the recent and persistent heavy rains. The route has subsided in many places although efforts are being made to undertake repairs.
The views though are spectacular with nothing but the birdsong to distract us as we strolled along.
One day we are going to hire one of these bikes. I fancy the tandem but Anne isn't so keen.
On returning the the Estación, we sat and enjoyed a coffee in the sunshine.
