A foggy day...

I know, I know......not more pictures of Olvera you say but the truth is the hunt for that elusive boxed set of spanish language Christmas cards must go on!!.
So, on a damp, misty morning I wandered down town snapping a few pics along the way.
A misty view of the castle.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is a public holiday here in Spain, being the Dia de la Constitución (Constitution Day), celebrating the approval of the Constitution by the Spanish people in 1978, regarded as the culmination of the transition to democracy after the Franco dictatorship.
Pictured above is the arched entrance to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Looking down Calle Maestro Amado.

The Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Encarnación, shrouded in mist.

The park above the Plaza de Andalucía was open so I climbed to the top to get the views over the town.

The Monumento al Sagrado Corazón (Monument of the Sacred Heart) that stands at the top of the park overlooking the town.
The views from the Mirador (viewpoint).

Looking down upon the Plaza de Andalucía.

The Arco de Zorilla (Arch of Zorilla) leading off the Plaza.

The Parque Jardines de la Victoria and a misty castle.

And yes, success at last. I managed to find some boxed Christmas cards. So the next couple of days will be spent writing them out.
Hopefully next week the weather will improve enough for us to get into the jalopy and travel further afield, possibly to a village called El Coronil, which we passed on our recent visit to Seville.
