Barrio de la Villa

At spanish class this morning I saw a photographic exhibition advertised as being on in December at the Casa de "La Cilla", the part of the castle that now houses the Tourist Office and Museum.
Leaving the house at just gone 5pm, I wandered up through the old town to the castle.
The castle from the front of Church in the Plaza de la Iglesia.

Looking across Olvera. In the foreground is the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with Bar Pepe Rayas just visible in the corner.
Typically, I arrived at the exhibition venue to find a notice "Cerrado por la Tarde" (closed for the afternoon). Ah well, always tomorrow.
Looking down Calle Subida a la Iglesia towards Pruna in the distance.

The view towards the town cemetery.

The Church from Calle Manco.

Calle Barriete, one of the oldest streets in Olvera.

A typical window decoration at this time of year....poinsettia's (Christmas plants).

Looking back towards Calle Barriete with some renovation projects on the left.

The view of the castle from Calle Carnero.
