Pensioner Power (Carnaval)

OK....the youngster's had their chance with the singing groups and Disney this week but the only real action in town was at the Pensioners Club.

We had seen the notice advertising what we thought was some sort of prize giving event (our spanish is still at the basic stage) so we duly turned up and found a party in full swing.

As the only brits there, we had to keep our end up but we were made so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The music was brilliant....salsa and samba with a bit of cha, cha thrown in.
We'll be glad when this week finishes just to have a rest (only joking).

Don't know this chap's name (at least I think it's a guy) but he was ever so friendly and we promised to go into Los Corrales, a local clothes shop, and give him a print on Monday. How we are going to recognise him I don't know!!. The lovely girl with him, Maria, asked if Anne was married and if I was her dad!!! Bless her little cotton socks!!
We love it here. The spanish really know how to party and enjoy life and we are really privileged to be a part of it.
