Baile - dance

Not a lot to report today. Yesterday evening, we went up to the Pensioners Centre in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento for a "baile" that started about six pm.
I hasten to add and stress that we were the youngest there but they are such good social events. Everyone enjoys themselves and we are made to feel so welcome and it's a great way to get to know people and get involved in the community here.

These are just a few pics of the event. The lady in the yellow top, Pepé, is the dance teacher at the centre and really knows her stuff.

At about 8'ish we took our leave and adjourned for a drink across the square at Bar Pepe Rayas where we were joined by a lovely couple we had never met before from the Newcastle area, Maria and Peter. They are here in Olvera for a few weeks overseeing some work at the house they have owned for five years.
The mosto (locally made wine and very potent) and the beers were going down well and I think we eventually got home about midnight.

So this morning I just took a sobering stroll down to the bank while Anne set about cleaning the house, calling in on the way at our friends Catherine and Eddie's house.
