Zebra's crossing

Another lovely day......thirty plus degrees. Untypically, we didn't get up until ten this morning. We had intended to go out for a drive and normally would leave the house quite early, so instead we just went for a wander into town.
From a distance we could hear a whistle blowing and followed the sound until we arrived at the Plaza de la Concordia.
The Policia Local were directing traffic the wrong way around the Plaza whilst local council employee's were busy re-painting the zebra crossings.
For fairly recent arrivals to Olvera like us it has always been a challenge to identify the crossings, only doing so by the blaring horns or occasional car screeching to a halt to let people cross.

So, its good news that the crossings are being re-painted.

We stopped off at our friend Carol's for a coffee and a chat before heading upwards towards home.
The Bar Pimentel was on the way so it was a convenient and pleasant stopping off point for refreshments and a bit of people watching.
