After the temperatures and heat of the last few days, it was almost quite pleasant this morning to wake up to overcast skies and a fall in temperature to the mid twenties centigrade.

A warm welcome to our Spanish, British, French and German visitors and all others of course.
The courtyard area of the castle, referred to as "La Cilla", in olden times housed the grain, crops and cereal collected locally. Now, the area houses the town museum, tourist office and an exhibition centre for the Via Verde (Green Way) near to Olvera.

An entrance from the plaza leads into the old town cemetery that lies within the boundary walls of the castle.
