A timely reminder from our friend Steve (as I had forgotten) and perhaps of more interest to home owners who are not resident in Olvera and whose meters are inside the house, is the programme currently being undertaken by the Electricity Company to replace free of charge the old analog electric meters with new digital units.
Our meter was changed about two months ago to the new type (pictured) which allows remote computerised reading in the absence of the home owner, although we're still unsure of what the constantly changing red, green and orange light indicates..
