Cuarenta y dos grados.....

......42°C at just after 6.30pm tonight, according to the thermometer that was unusually placed on the steps of the Centro de Mayores in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

I'm sure that this is the hottest day so far this summer, the breeze is like that of a hair dryer on a warm setting. So just a few pictures of the heat haze surrounding Olvera on our walk back from a refreshing couple of beers at Bar Pimentel.




Sleeping will no doubt be a problem tonight, as it has been for the past few weeks, but I've got the sun lounger set up on the terrace with the added bonus that over the next few days the annual Perseids meteor shower will pass across the night sky.
I'll try and stay awake as it is quite spectacular to see.
