Events in July and August

The Ayuntamiento have just published a list of organised events that will be taking place in Olvera during July and August.
Mainly centred on the younger generation, though not beyond those of us "young at heart", the events may be of interest to both residents and visitors alike.
As always, please refer to the official notice here for accurate details as sometimes a little is lost in translation.

As follows:

1st July-13th August. 7-a-side Football League. Indoor Sports Centre.
1st -30th July. Football League. Indoor Sports Centre.
1st -30th July. Table Tennis Tournament. Indoor Sports Centre.
July 6th at 21:00pm in the Parque Entrecaminos. A conference and dance workshop to promote understanding, tolerance and respect for different cultures and lifestyles, finding different ways to interact civilly and without prejudice to others.....something we could all perhaps learn from!.
July 8th at 21:00pm in the Parque Entrecaminos. A youth market, creating a space and opportunity for young people to barter and exchange used items such as CD's, books, DVD's, jewelery etc.
July 8th at 21;00pm. A performance by the Magician Fernando. Parque La Victoria.
July 9th at 21:00pm. A humorous play performed by the Jerez Theatre Group actively involving members of the audience.
July 10th at 23:00pm in the Parque Entrecaminos. A music concert by the group "Moakara" from Seville.
July 12th -August 13th. Tennis League. Indoor Sports Centre.
July 12th onwards. Workshops for young people.
Video Editing from July 12th to 16th and Digital Photography from July 19th to 27th. Registration at the Municipal Public Library.
July 13th, 14th, 15th at 11:00am. Animation workshop for 9-12 year olds. Registration at the Public Library until 9 July.
July 14th at 22:00pm. Pop-rock concert featuring "Cuatro Bajo Cero" at the Estación de Olvera, Via Verde.
July 15th and 16th at 22:00. Championships of WII and Playstation. Patio de la UNED, Calle Victoria.
July 29th from 21:00pm. Entertainment in the Parque Entracaminos. Inflatables and popular games.
August 4th. Volleyball and Basketball Tournament. Indoor Sports Centre.
August 5th at 21:00pm. Street Theatre. Moreno Brothers Circus Company. Parque Entrecaminos.
August 11th at 22:00pm. Adult storytelling with Maestro Pepe. Estación de Olvera, Via Verde.
August 14th at 19:30pm. Presentation of Football Trophies. Soccer Field.
August 21st. Presentation of Basketball Trophies. Indoor Sports Centre.
August 21st at 10:00am. Local Swimming Championships at the Municipal Pool.
August 23rd at 10:00am. Fiesta of Water at the Municipal Pool.
August 26th at 22:00pm. Events closing party. (Not sure of location but either in a tent at the Indoor Sports Centre or on the Fairground site.....just follow the sounds of fun and music).
