
This evening, we paid a long overdue visit to the Pensioners Centre to attend the weekly dance session and to meet up with the many friends that we have made there.
After a short while we were invited to go up to the first foor to view an exhibition of craftwork made by the members of the Centre.

Displayed in the room were beautifully made patchwork quilts and cushion covers and hand painted tablecloths.

Also on display were some delicate and intricate spanish lacework made on pillows and bobbins, called I think "bolillos", similar to the one pictured below.
In particular, note the small baby's bootee's and earings.
Who says that only the young have talent !!.
