Saturday morning

On a lovely sunny Andalucia day, we thought we'd take a walk to the indoor sports centre in the newer part of town to see if anything was going on. As is normal for us, the centre was closed but not disheartened, we took a few pictures along the way of the main thoroughfare into Olvera, the Calle Julián Besteiro.

A prominent feature on the road is the grain silo, which I believe is no longer in use.

The road heading out of town.

It has been noticeable over the last couple of weeks that "Otono" has arrived.

The Petronor filling station, the only petrol station in town.

Looking towards the town centre.

The Centro de Salud...Health Centre.

The view to the castle and the Plaza de la Concordia.

The Guardia Civil (National Police) building in the centre of town.

The old chaps of the town, who congregate every day in the Plaza de la Concordia. We joke that in a few months or so I will be joining them....Anne says hopefully it will be a few weeks !!.

A pretty display of geraniums just off Calle de Bellavista, on the way home.

Our stroll ended up at the outdoor market, always held on a Saturday morning, where we sat down for a pleasant coffee before heading home.
