Bird rescue

We have noticed over the past few weeks a large number of fledgeling birds, either dead in the streets or struggling to fly. Whether it's because they are too young to leave the nest or just weary in the heat, who knows.
One such was the little bird pictured, possibly a Swift, that was floundering in the high street in danger of being killed underfoot or by way of a vehicle.
So we picked it up and took it to hopefully a place of safety, where perhaps it can recover it's strength and eventually fly off.
