The brilliant Band of Music of Olvera were performing in concert at the Caseta Municipal today so I wandered down to have a look.
Arriving at the Recinto Ferial (Fairground) at about 12.15 pm, the crowd was gathering for the concert.
The conductor and director of music was being interviewed by Juani of Olvera TV prior to the start of the concert.
To a supportive and appreciative audience the band performed a selection of processional marches, pasadobles, soundtracks and the occasional surprise tune for approximately thirty minutes before taking a short break and then continuing with their performance.
They are a tremendous group of young musicians who support many of the events and activities that take place throughout the year in Olvera and are fully deserving of our support and encouragement in return.
