We walked down this morning to the Residents Centre near to the trading estate for the start of an enthusiastically supported 25th "fun run", part of the celebrations for the Romería del Lunes de Quasimodo.
The event started with the walkers, many of whom we knew and who were encouraging us to join them, making their way along the pedestrian route to the Sanctuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, about 2 kms outside of town.
Next off were the senior runners.
Finally came the serious competitors, the junior runners, all determined to reach the finishing post first.
We never cease to be amazed at the enthusiasm shown by all ages, the young and not so young, who participate and support these organised events.
