Mix of pics

A mixture of pictures this morning as we wandered through town to the bank and elsewhere. Here, the ongoing restoration work being undertaken in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
All of the paving around the outside is being replaced and also the decorative paving leading to the town emblem in the centre of the square.
Calle Llana, here and below.

Out of the shade it's a lovely, warm day with temperatures at about 15°C.
Avenida Julián Besteiro.
Looking down Avenida Diputación and the excellent opticians on the right where I recently renewed my glasses.

Today is the annual "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" with a series of events taking place in Olvera during today and this evening.
In support of the above, white ribbons are displayed on many buildings and balconies, here on the door of the public library.
The Plaza de la Concordia.
Manolo, who painted our house a couple of years ago, always seems to be busy somewhere in Olvera. Here on Calle Bellavista.

Having just arrived back in chilly Scotland after a long trip to Olvera I will enjoy checking your blog for info and updates and lovely pics, and an envious glance at the forecast!
Many thanks, Sandra

Hi Sandra. Many thanks for your comment. Don't envy you the scottish winter but we'll try to cheer you up with hopefully some sunny pics of Olvera. Best wishes.
