Los Caños de Meca

Leaving Barbate, we drove the nine kilometres north through the pine forests to the small seaside village of Los Caños de Meca.
We parked up off the main road and went for a stroll along the beautiful, deserted beach.

The village appeared to be mainly made up of holiday lets and apartments so I should imagine in summer that it would be far busier than it was today.
The view across to the lighthouse of the Cape of Trafalgar, off which the battle of Trafalgar was fought by Admiral Nelson in 1805.
Calcetines came too of course but there was no way she was going to get her feet wet.
