An autumn stroll

On a beautiful, crisp autumnal morning, with temperatures at about 11°C and feeling particularly energetic, I took a stroll through town to the Hotel Fuente del Pino on the outskirts of Olvera. Looking down Calle Llana, the main street of Olvera.

The entrance to the new park area being created on the Peñon de Cerretillo looks like it's nearing completion. It'll be a lovely area to sit and enjoy the views.

Looking up Avenida Julian Besteiro.

The disused weighbridge and grain silo on Julian Besteiro.

The Salon de Celebraciones Madrid on the edge of town, the equivalent of the village hall or community centre in the UK, where parties and wedding receptions regularly take place.

The view of Olvera from near the Hotel Fuente de Pino.

Welcome to Olvera and please keep to the speed limits.

Looking back at the hotel on the outskirts of town, where we stayed on our first ever visit to Olvera.

Heading back home after a very pleasant stroll out. I suppose we have to accept now that the temperatures are dropping to winter levels but while the sun is still shining it's still nice to get out and about.
