Ronda and return

On a beautiful autumn morning with temperatures at about 19°C, we drove to the lovely city of Ronda, about forty five minutes south of Olvera.
It wasn't a site seeing trip as such. We needed to visit a pet shop to buy a bigger winter jacket for Calcetines, our lovely (not) so little dog. Since coming to live at the Casa de Alan y Ana and despite efforts to cut down on her treats, coupled with threats to return her to the streets, her highness has managed to gain a few grammes.
So just a few pictures of Ronda as we waddled around.
Looking across from the Puente Nuevo bridge to the mist covered valley beyond.

Ronda is nice at this time of year. The horse and carriages are still plying their trade but the main tourist season is over and it's quite pleasant to wander around without the crowds that are normally here in the summer months.

A sign above the main thoroughfare, Carrera de Espinel, proclaiming the 15th November as the day of no alcohol.........good job we went today !!.

We sat in the glorious sunshine in the Plaza del Socorro enjoying a coffee at the Casa Ortega Restaurant, watching the world go by.
After a couple of hours, we headed home via a different route, taking the road across country to Setenil.
The view of Olvera on the left and the village of Torre Alháquime in the foreground.
