XXXIII Exhibición de Enganches de Ronda

After admiring the display of carriages (see previous post), we joined the queue awaiting entry into the Bullring where the parade of carriages and judging would take place.
Dan had bought tickets earlier in the morning placing us in a great location on the second tier, out of the direct sun.

The event started with a superb display of horsemanship.

All of the carriages, some like the one pictured right dating back to the 18th century, took part in the parade, every one in pristine condition.

The drivers displayed great skill in the turning, reversing and control of their horses.

The display ended with a mass procession of all twenty three carriages to huge and appreciative applause from the assembled crowd.

A fantastic day out and definately one to repeat next year.
