In the heat of the night....

.....well certainly in the heat of the evening. I had a walk up to the top of town, the "Barrio de la Villa", tonight at about seven to escape the heat in the house, which must have been in excess of 40°C. Must get a thermometer!.

This house is one of the prettiest in Olvera. The lady that owns it also tends the plants in the public area below her patio.

Just below the ladies house, and accessed via steps through her garden, is a pleasant seating and rest area giving fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.

One of the remaining defensive towers of the castle, which at one time, with fortified walls, would have enclosed the buildings in this old part of town.

I never get tired of wandering around this area, imagining what life would have been like in medieval times.
