After yesterday's false start to spring, when temperatures rose into the low twenties, today as forecast winter returned with a vengeance with torrential rain most of the day and at least two or three thunder and lightning storms overhead.

We were lucky to get a break in the weather for our afternoon stroll, returning home just before another rain storm.
