A combination of Christmas, a sore throat and an irritable cough have delayed me posting for a while so just a catch up with some pictures taken a few days ago on the 26th. Here, the Calcetines fan club on parade as we passed by.
Apart from Christmas day, when it rained in the morning, the weather over the holiday period has been sunny and quite warm.
Repair work has been started on the road that was in danger of collapsing near to the Casa de la Cultura.
This morning brought more sunshine although a little cooler at about 10°C as we walked to the usual Saturday market.
A sign advising that cars will be prohibited from parking in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento this coming Sunday due to the arrival of the "Royal Postman". They will be collecting messages and gift requests from the children of Olvera in the hope that their wishes will be granted on the 6th January, the traditional day for the giving and receiving of Christmas gifts in Spain.
The view over the market.
Oranges a plenty on the trees at the moment.
Improvements continue on the road surface near to the Casa de la Cultura.
Calle Calvario and below Calle Llana.
A couple of pictures taken on the terrace upon our return home.
