We walked to the library in the Casa de la Cultura building, pictured here left, to hand over a few books.
Looking over the Jardines de la Victoria. The view north to Pruna and its castle atop the hill, centre picture.
Calle Llana. No, it's not as early as indicated on the electronic timer. Just happened to catch the 8 of the month and first two figures of 2011 as it scrolled through.
The Plaza de la Iglesia is sited within the Barrio de la Villa, the oldest part of Olvera that still exists within the ancient walls of the castle.
We met up with Pablo and his dog Alberto under the shade of one of the trees in the square.
In the corner of the Plaza is the entrance to "La Cilla", the area where in former times grain, crops and wine were stored and subsequently the town jail was located. Nowadays it houses the tourist office, town museum and an exhibition centre.
The patio area of "La Cilla".

Stunning views to the west, here and below.
Here, looking at the Peñon de Zaframagón in the centre of picture, recognised as containing one of the most significant colonies of Griffon Vulures in Andalucia.
It is accessible only from the Via Verde (Green Way), a walking and cycle path that starts from the Estación de Olvera.
