Bar "El Tapir Despistado" (formerly "Valentinos")

After visiting the market this morning, we headed up to Calle Torre del Pan in the Barrio de la Villa (the historic old part of town near to the Iglesia Parroquial)  to see how Marleen and Kris were doing in their new venture as owners of "El Tapir Despistado" (The Confused or Bewildered Tapir).
We were warmly welcomed by them both and clearly there's been a lot of hard work going on in transforming the bar.
"El Tapir", keeping a watchful eye on the bar.

The bar has been tastefully re-decorated with new furniture throughout and a very comfortable outside patio area. Soft music also adds to creating a very pleasant ambience.

The one thing that could never be improved upon however is the spectacular view from the outside patio area. The bar is open from Thursday until Sunday, 11.00hrs until 23.00hrs, so why not pop in and say hello. You'll be assured of a very warm welcome.

Bar at the top of town (formerly "Valentinos")

Post update: Marleen has just informed me that the new bar/restaurant "El Tapir Despistado" will definitely be opening on Thursday 20th June at the times stated below.
We were pleased to meet with Marleen and Kris this morning who are busy refurbishing the old "Bar Valentinos" in the Barrio de la Villa. Marleen explained that there had been some delays with regard to furnishings but they were looking forward to opening sometime next week and thereafter would be open Thursday to Sunday from 11am until 11pm.
Further details will be advised in the near future and will also be posted on Facebook via perhaps the "Olvera Tematica" and "I Love Olvera" pages.
