The Ayuntamiento have just announced on their website here a brilliant series of events to take place in Olvera during June. Twenty nine bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels are participating in the "1st Gastronomic Month with Tapas". Each establishment will offer a drink and a tapas from a choice of three for only 2€.
The above map identifies those establishments participating in the event. In addition, for the duration of the event, four hotels are offering accommodation to visitors at the amazing price of 15€ per person per night.
And there's more. There are a fantastic series of events throughout the month including dog shows, a symphony orchestra from Seville, opera, a medieval market and much more. All events and dates can be seen by clicking any of the above images to enlarge.
Congratulations have to go to the Department of Tourism and Economic Development of the council for creating and promoting such a fantastic variety of events and at last recognising the huge potential that Olvera has as a tourist destination. Well done to all concerned.

Yum yum. We visited Olvera for the first time last month - looks like we need to book a return trip sooner than we thought.
