Arriving about 45 minutes later, we left the main A-382 at the first exit to Arcos, then after a short distance taking the A-372 signposted El Bosque.
Looking up at Arcos on top of the escarpment.

It was obviously a popular spot for fishermen and we watched this chap bring in what I thought was a carp.

After a pleasant walk along the shore we headed off again towards El Bosque, stopping off for a delicious breakfast of mollete (toasted roll) and coffee at the Restaurante Los Molinos.
We briefly stopped of in El Bosque, a very pretty village, before heading back on the A-373 to Villamartin and then back to Olvera, a leisurely, circular trip of about four hours.
